Are french manicures/pedicures ugly?

I am going on vacation %26amp; am not sure what to do with my nails/toes...





I used to LOVE french mani/pedi's but am wondering if they are out of style now? I know short dark polishes are very stylish right now ~ which do you think would be better?Are french manicures/pedicures ugly?
French manicures/pedicures are always the safe way to go when you're not sure what you want. Although i LOVE the solid colors, it might minimize your wardrobe for your vacation. Plus, if your polish chips when you're on vaca, you won't be able to repair it if you have a solid color. If you have a french manicure, and the polish chips, it will hardly be noticeable at all.Are french manicures/pedicures ugly?
I don't think french manicures are ugly.
French manicures are classic, they will never go out of style. Dark polish is the ';trend'; right now so if you're young and want to look trendy, go with that. I myself would go with the french manicure because I'm older.
Try something a little different and go with an American manicure...Not quite as ';white'; as the French manicure!!

if you go on a vacation, u might not have the time to get the color ones redone if they chip or grow out...


better get the french tips - they look clean and never goes out of style :)

no never, its such a clean classy look, unless they're really really long white tips, which i think are so ugly. You're right about the dark colors, but if you're going to be active on you're vaca i'd go light in case they chip, won't be as noticable.
To each their own. If it makes you happy, why does it matter what anyone else thinks? Personal style is *not* about conforming to what everyone else does.





I think French manicures are cute but I don't understand the pedicures. When my toes aren't polished and are showing the white growth (forget what the term is, I used to know it), I immediately feel the need to grab the clippers because they are going to snag on something. They always do, at least on me. So why would I want to get them specially polished that way?
