Okay, this is sort of a two part question. I am afraid that I have two ingrown toenails - both of them being on my big toes. On both sides of my toes, the nail is growing into and digging into the skin and it hurts! I'll cut my nails and it will relieve the pressure for a few days, but then as the nail grows it happens again. Am I going to have to go to a doctor or is there something I can do on my own to get it under control?
Also, my boyfriend's mom took me to a new nail shop about a month ago and got me a french pedicure. My nails are starting to peel it looks like so I tried to take the polish off and it won't budge! I've tried two different types of nail polish removers. What else is there that is stronger?
Actually, one more question while I'm asking. Is it good to put moistuzer on your toenails? My nails and skin surrounding have been dry lately.

Have the doc examine your toenails to make sure you didn't pick up a nail fungus at the pedicure. Be sure to tell him you had a recent pedicure. If you use acetone nail polish, it should remove the polish, but keep it away from any open sores. And remember nail polish is highly flammable, so keep away from heat appliances %26amp; flame and then wash your hands very well.
Never lotion between your toes, bc that could cause problems. Just lotion the tops of your feet or the heels.Ingrown toenail and removing french pedicure polish?
You should moisturize your feet every night before you go to bed. For the ingrown toenails try putting a piece of cotton ball under each part of the ingrown nail at the corners. If this doesn't help then yes you need to see a podiatrist.
